Description: Homefront is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1966.  In 1997, we served 1500 clients in 30 cities and towns throughout Rhode Island.  Our primary service is home health aide.  We specialize in caring for chronically ill older and disabled people.  Many of our aides have received additional training in Alzheimer's Disease and other mental health issues.

     Our nursing program primarily serves a high-tech pediatric population, although elderly services are available also.  Elderly nursing services often consist of oversight of medically fragile people.  We can assist with medications, health monitoring, a plan of care  and other tasks.

Area Served:  The entire state of RI except Aquidneck Island and Woonsocket.  The Providence office serves Providence, Blackstone Valley, East Bay and the  northwestern area.  The Warwick office serves Kent County.  The Westerly office serves Washington County.

Services:  Home health aide, RN, LPN,  homemaker, chores, and emergency response units.

Sources of Payment: State programs, private insurance, and client fees.  Reduced fee service is available on a limited basis with United Way funding.
